Andrew Roths is senior principal security engineer for Amazon’s consumer devices division. Darren Kress is a veteran of information security with 27 years of experience leading efforts to secure critical infrastructure for Fortune 100 companies and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Over the past 10 years, Darren has led nearly every aspect of cybersecurity at T-Mobile. Currently, he leads telecommunications infrastructure security.
As a recently retired U.S. Air Force cyber warfare officer, Darren’s background also includes commanding numerous cyberspace missions. He was a key contributor to the development of the DoD’s future concept of cyber operations protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.

Michael Dow has worked in the semiconductor industry–for Motorola, Freescale, and now NXP–for 23 years. He has a Professional Engineering License in the state of Texas in Controls Engineering. Michael spent 10 years in the Fab as a controls engineer/manager before moving to Corporate Standards for four years, where he drove efforts for the industrial standards WirelessHART and ISA100. He then transitioned to the Microcontroller Division as a business developer/marketer, where he has specialized in Industrial IoT, smart energy, and security for the last nine years.

David Kaufman is director of business development for Resideo Technologies, Inc. and the company’s primary representative for any IoT-related standard or alliance. During his 30-plus years in automation, David has held various executive sales, marketing, and general management roles and generated consistent organic business growth totaling over $500 million.
David has filled key positions in the Wireless Industrial Network Alliance, the HART Communications Foundation, and the Open Connectivity Foundation. He was a charter board member of the Wireless Compliance Institute, the Energy Information Standards Alliance, and the OpenADR Alliance and has received numerous industry awards, including two from the U.S. National Institute of Technology (NIST). He holds multiple U.S. patents and is a published author on wireless technologies.
CTO, IoT Solutions at ioXt
Brad Ree is chief technology officer of IoT solutions at ioXt. In this role, he leads ioXt’s blockchain-enabled security platform, which brings carrier-grade security to the unlicensed home, enterprise, and industrial markets. Brad also serves as security advisory chair for ZigBee and holds over 25 patents. He has developed communication systems for AT&T, General Electric, and Arris.
Before joining ioXt, Brad was vice president of IoT security at Verimatrix, where he led the development of blockchain solutions for ecosystem operators. He is highly versed in many IoT protocols and their associated security models.
