Asem Elshimi
Product Marketing Manager Building Automation, IoT, Silicon Labs

Asem Elshimi is Product Marketing Manager and the segment lead of Building Automation, IoT wireless solutions at Silicon Labs. He is passionate about enabling Smart Buildings with the right wireless technologies to unlock optimal operational and energy efficiencies. Asem started his career at Silicon Labs as an RF Design Engineer in July 2018. He holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Kevin Callahan is Sr. Sales Engineer & Evangelist with Alerton, a Honeywell BMS Brand. With 44+ years in the industry, Mr. Callahan’s experiences span all aspects of the building automation and controls business. His first 19+ years was spent in controls contracting working as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and Operations Manager; all of which prepared him for his most recent 25+ years at the manufacturing level with Alerton as Training Instructor, Product Manager, Product Owner, and now Sr. Sales Engineer. Along the way Kevin was chosen to be the Alerton Evangelist – a role he accepts with enthusiasm when speaking about the industry and The Why of Alerton.

Director of IT for CBRE|ESI, a division of CBRE specializing in master systems integrations & smart buildings.  Ron has over two decades of experience across IT including aspects of Engineering, Data Centers, and Facilities.  He shas spent roughly 8 years guiding the collision of IT and the BMS industry to ensure enabled, yet secure outcomes for clients.

Sabine Lam

Google Building Operating Systems (BOS) Global Lead for Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS)

Sabine Lam is the Building Operating Systems (BOS) Global Lead for Google Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) organization. In this role, she focuses on bringing the connected building vision to the forefront of Google real estate and facilities operations teams and equips them to deliver next generation services and workspaces to enhance employee's security and productivity. Her responsibilities include collaborating with industry stakeholders to work towards a global strategy for building automation systems across the Google portfolio.

Prior to joining Google in 2013, Sabine was a Senior Project Manager at Xilinx, leading the development of Digital Signal Processing IP and FPGA development platforms.
Sabine holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from EFREI, Paris, France and is LEED accredited.

Brian Turner
CEO at Buildings IoT

Brian Turner, LEED-AP BD&C, leads all strategic planning for product development and project work at Buildings IOT. Throughout his career, Mr. Turner has provided hands-on expertise to architects, engineers and building owners to design and implement integrated building systems. He leads an experienced team of system integrators, engineers, building scientists and all-around big thinkers who are dedicated to making the promises of smart buildings a reality.

As an internationally recognized expert in the field, Mr. Turner has helped professionals in the building industry optimize their controls and make their business processes more efficient. He has participated in product studies for manufacturers and has made presentations at industry meetings and events to international audiences including building owners, distributors, manufacturers and system integrators. With his decades of experience in the field, in the lab and at the helm of industry-leading companies, Mr. Turner consistently bridges the gap between technology, on-the-ground solutions and implementation teams to meet and exceed the expectations of all clients.

Greg Jaman

Line of Business Lead

Greg Jaman is the Line of Business Lead for the HVAC Controls team with Delta Controls. An industry veteran of nearly 20 years, Greg leads a group of talented engineers in building the next generation of controllers. Before joining Delta, Greg worked as an engineer developing software and hardware solutions for clients engaged in building sciences, construction and management of buildings. Currently, he focuses on technology for new opportunities and all things IoT. Seeing new technology that creates opportunities to solve customer problems is something Greg truly appreciates. Greg is a licensed professional engineer and has a Master of Science in computer engineering. As a strong believer in a healthy and balanced lifestyle, Greg enjoys kiteboarding, fishing, and camping with his family.
